“I like good strong words that mean something.”
—Louisa May Alcott, Little Women
I was born in rural Texas to an elementary school teacher and a horse trainer. As a kid, I loved writing, and I hoped to one day make it a career. I attended the University of Texas at Austin, studied Rhetoric and Writing, Journalism, and English, and received my Bachelor of Arts in 2009.
The change of scenery from a small, quiet town to a bustling city was terrifying at first, but it changed my entire perspective. I experienced things that were never available to me when I was growing up, and I met many people from all around the world—including my husband—with viewpoints and cultures that I’d never encountered before. Expanding my horizons meant my writing grew as well.
I joined the BioWare team in 2014 and eventually moved into a narrative-centric role, giving feedback and sharing my storytelling expertise with writing and cinematic designers on various projects before settling in as a writer. After nearly a decade at BioWare, I followed development of Star Wars™: the Old Republic™ to its new home at Broadsword Online Games, where I’m currently living my childhood dream and crafting stories as SWTOR's Lead Writer.
